چکیده
The potential of the tailings from Morille scheelite-bearing calc-silicate deposit as a commercial raw material for inert glass–ceramic was determined. Nucleation and crystal growth temperatures glass were studied. maximum nucleation rate parent are 612 °C 660 is at 776 1047 °C. At nepheline, wollastonite akermanite formed. In glasses treated higher temperature nepheline becomes unstable wollastonite-akermanite ceramic obtained. leaching tests show that potentially toxic elements effectively bound in structure glass–ceramic, which can be considered inert.

Kinetics of Ceramic Phase Crystallization in a Glass Derived from Wastes of Iron and Steel Industry
Intensified environmental regulations have posed numerous challenges in the disposal of industrial wastes. The steel industry is one of the biggest production industries, with a considerable amount of daily wastes. Production of glass-ceramic from the steel industry waters is one of the proper solutions for this problem. In this study, the application utilization of different wastes (such as bl...

Synthetic biomaterials mimicking bone morphology have expanded at a tremendous rate. Among all, one stands out: bioactive glass. Bioactive glasses opened the door to a new genre of research into materials able to promote the regeneration of functioning bone tissue. However, despite their ability to promote cell attachment, proliferation and differentiation, these materials are mainly used as gr...
متن کاملBioactive Glass-Ceramic Scaffolds from Novel ‘Inorganic Gel Casting’ and Sinter-Crystallization
Highly porous wollastonite-diopside glass-ceramics have been successfully obtained by a new gel-casting technique. The gelation of an aqueous slurry of glass powders was not achieved according to the polymerization of an organic monomer, but as the result of alkali activation. The alkali activation of a Ca-Mg silicate glass (with a composition close to 50 mol % wollastonite-50 mol % diopside, w...
